Make a meaningful impact each day as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students near Oakland, CA. As a valued member of a school-based team, youll build strong partnerships with educators and families to drive positive outcomes for every student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapyboth individual and groupaligned with outlined speech and language goals
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure holistic support
- Play an active role in literacy development and assist with integration into curriculum planning
- Identify at-risk students and orchestrate timely early intervention services
- Maintain precise documentation and records to ensure compliance with educational standards
- Mentor and supervise student clinicians, clinical fellows, and SLPAs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state license and ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility)
- Prior experience in schools is a plus, but not required
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Passion for supporting student growth and learning
