Job Description

Step into a dynamic school setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting pre-kindergarten through 8th-grade students for the 26/27 school year. This flexible part-time contract opportunity offers you the chance to work 1-2 days per week, focusing your skills on a manageable caseload of 15-21 students. Youll deliver impactful speech and language services, helping young learners build essential communication skills and achieve academic milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Illinois
  • Current Professional Educators License required
  • Experience or interest in working with pediatric and school-based populations
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet the unique needs of individual students

Role Expectations:

  • Conduct speech/language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy services to a small, focused caseload of PreK-8 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school team members to support student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of services rendered
  • Deliver both one-on-one and group interventions based on student needs and goals
  • Offer guidance and resources to families and school staff about best practices in speech and language development
