Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain license)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience with pediatric and school-aged populations
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans
- Experience with IEP development and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students in various grade levels
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on students unique needs
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions focusing on articulation, language, fluency, and social skills
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to promote student success
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough records and progress notes in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school initiatives
