This contract opportunity is located near Norfolk, VA, and offers an engaging way to apply your pediatric expertise in both early childhood and school environments from Pre-K through high school.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, active state licensure as an SLP
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within school settings
- Comfortable serving students in Early Childhood, Pre-K, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High School (Grades K-12)
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs for students ranging from Pre-K to Grade 12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to support students IEPs and progress
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes
- Participate in school meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and professional development as needed
