Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year within a K-12 educational setting in Nipomo, CA, serving surrounding communities including Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, and Edna. This contract role requires dedication to providing comprehensive communication support to students across all grade levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse speech and language disorders

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Experience working in educational or pediatric settings, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion
  • Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language development
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Location and Schedule:

  • Based in Nipomo, CA, serving K-12 students in Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach (93448), Santa Maria (93454), and Edna (93401)
  • Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, aligned with the school year calendar
