Make a significant impact supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based role. This full-time W2 position offers the opportunity to provide essential communication services to children, helping them achieve their personal and academic goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP
- Previous experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to culturally sensitive, student-centered therapy approaches
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in group settings
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress and session notes
- Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to support students overall achievement
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
- Offer insights into augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed
- Provide consultation and training for teachers and school staff regarding speech and language strategies
