An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide specialized services in a school setting in Cassopolis, MI. This full-time contract position runs from April through the end of the school year, with the possibility of extending into summer for Extended School Year (ESY) services.
This role involves managing a caseload of approximately 55 students with diverse needs, including those with emotional impairments, moderate cognitive impairments, and severe disabilities. The position requires delivering individualized speech and language therapy to support student development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop tailored therapy plans.
- Provide direct intervention services to students across various impairment levels.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and comply with school district policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Michigan Speech Language Pathology license.
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations.
- Certifications such as CCC-SLP, SLP-CFY, or teletherapy experience are advantageous.
