Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist working in a school-based setting near historic Jamestown, Virginia. This engaging position is available for the 20262027 school year, offering flexibility with both part-time and full-time on-site schedules to fit your needs.
Utilize your expertise as an SLP, whether you have your CCC or are completing your CFY, to make a meaningful difference. You'll work directly with students, providing assessment, evaluations, and targeted therapy to help each child achieve their communication goals. As part of a collaborative team, you'll also attend IEP meetings, ensuring students receive the support and services they need to thrive.
Qualifications:
- Current Virginia Speech-Language Pathology License required
- Open to clinicians with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or those pursuing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Background in assessment, evaluation, and direct therapy for school-aged children
- Ability to oversee and manage caseload documentation and participate in IEP processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and educational staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and tailored therapy for students
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation related to evaluations, progress, and IEP requirements
- Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy approaches to best meet individual student needs
