Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in New York State
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in a school or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but clinical fellows are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
  • Create and deliver tailored intervention plans to address students unique needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Document and monitor student growth and adapt strategies for optimal outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide guidance and resources to families and school staff as needed
