Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in New York State
- Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in a school or educational setting
- Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but clinical fellows are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Create and deliver tailored intervention plans to address students unique needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Document and monitor student growth and adapt strategies for optimal outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
- Provide guidance and resources to families and school staff as needed
