This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support communication development, and deliver targeted interventions that lead to meaningful progress for children in an educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) in progress
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within a school setting
- Solid communication skills with an empathetic and patient-centered approach
- Ability to design, adapt, and implement individualized treatment plans
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to students unique needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other support professionals to facilitate students progress
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Conduct group and individual therapy sessions to improve communication, articulation, and language skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based goal setting
- Stay up to date with best practices, interventions, and compliance requirements within school-based SLP services
