Job Description

Step into a pivotal role serving elementary school students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis starting Fall 2026. This opportunity runs for approximately 12 weeks beginning in September, totaling 35+ hours per week and will support students across K-5th grades, with a pronounced focus on populations with Autism and preschool-aged children.

Multiple positions are open in established elementary schools near Newark, NJ. Responsibilities are entirely onsite and are tailored for dedicated SLPs passionate about making measurable differences in students communication skills. Both Clinical Fellows (CFs) with access to external supervision and ASHA-certified SLPs (CCCs) are encouraged to apply; supervision cannot be provided by the district. Please note, SLPAs are not eligible for these roles.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license for New Jersey
  • Possess a current NJ Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) certification
  • Experience with K-5th grade populations
  • Skilled in supporting students with Autism and preschoolers is highly desirable
  • Strong communicative, organizational, and collaborative abilities
  • CCC credentials are prioritized; CFs welcome (must arrange outside supervision)
  • Available for onsite work only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students, with an emphasis on Autism and preschoolers
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement IEP-based interventions
  • Attend and contribute to IEP/parent-teacher meetings
  • Engage collaboratively with educators and multidisciplinary staff
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation
