A 35-hour per week contract opportunity is available in Newark, NJ, for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics. This role focuses on providing high-quality speech therapy services to pre-kindergarten students, supporting development and communication skills in a school setting. The caseload consists of 13 students, with a preference for candidates experienced in working with children on the autism spectrum.
Key qualifications and certifications for this role include:
- Valid New Jersey SLP licensure
- Credentials as a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) preferred
- Pediatric and school-based speech therapy experience
- Autism experience is an advantage
Responsibilities will involve:
- Delivering individualized speech and language intervention plans tailored to preK students
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Conducting evaluations and maintaining detailed documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes
- Adapting therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students, particularly those with autism
