Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, working with a diverse student population across K-12 settings. Two onsite professionals are needed to support students throughout the district, providing direct therapy and participating in collaborative case management alongside dedicated school teams. This contract role runs from August 18, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering the chance to work full-time during the regular academic year.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy for students in elementary, middle, and high school settings, supporting regular education, learning support, life skills, and autistic support programs.
- Manage a caseload of 50-55 for elementary and up to 60 for secondary (with several students receiving reduced service delivery).
- Complete evaluations, develop IEPs, and monitor student progress.
- Engage in minimal case management at the secondary level, with more comprehensive responsibilities for elementary students.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to design and implement effective communication interventions.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district and state compliance requirements.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist Certification and teaching certification must be provided with your application.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Experience working in K-12 or special education settings, including regular education, learning support, and autistic support.
- Proficiency in evaluation, case management, and individualized therapy planning.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
