Job Description

This contract position offers a rewarding, full-time schedule (35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar), supporting students' communication needs and contributing to their educational success.

What You'll Bring:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure in Louisiana, or eligibility to obtain
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • Commitment to completing time-sensitive credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
  • Flexible, positive attitude and dedication to serving youth in a diverse school setting
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students as assigned
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students needs
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and all required documentation
  • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Adjust therapy techniques and materials to accommodate different age groups (caseload specifics will be assigned upon placement)
