Job Description

In this contract position, youll collaborate with dedicated educators while supporting students speech and language growth in a vibrant and caring school environment near New Haven, CT.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current, active SLP license for practice in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Strong background in pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings beneficial
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress
  • Conduct group and individual therapy sessions focused on age-appropriate goals
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records according to state and federal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise to multidisciplinary teams
  • Advocate for and implement best practices to optimize student engagement and outcomes
