Job Description

This contract-based opportunity invites you to work onsite across several schools near New Haven, CT, supporting young learners from PreK through 4th and 8th grade as an itinerant SLP. This full-time position allows you to use your expertise in pediatric speech-language pathology to promote communication skills, enrich learning outcomes, and foster student confidence.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid CT SLP licensure required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
  • Experience in school settings or pediatric therapy strongly preferred
  • Proficient in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptable to working across multiple sites with a diverse range of student needs
  • Skills in both traditional and innovative approaches, including knowledge of teletherapy, valued

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students from PreK through 4th and 8th grade
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student progress
  • Travel between assigned school sites within the district as an itinerant provider
  • Stay current with best practices in both school-based and healthcare approaches
