Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support students within a school setting in New Castle, Indiana. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with a diverse caseload at an elementary school, providing essential speech and language services to help children achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide in-person therapy sessions to an assigned caseload, approximately 83 students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Qualifications:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility to work as an SLP in a school setting.
  • Experience working within school environments, preferably with a caseload similar to this one.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload and work effectively as part of a team.

Location: This role is based in New Castle, Indiana, serving students at Grissom Elementary School and associated schools within the Delaware / Blackford Special Ed Cooperative area.
