Job Description

A unique opportunity awaits speech-language pathologists passionate about supporting students in educational settings! Seeking dedicated SLPs (Speech-Language Pathologists) to fill contract positions for the 2026-2027 school year. These onsite roles offer a chance to positively impact young learners in a collaborative, student-focused environment located near New Castle, DE.

There are three positions availableplease indicate your interest in one of the following assignments when applying:

  • Itinerant Early Childhood: Serve early learners in a dynamic role (SLP-CCC only; not open to SLPAs, CFs, or virtual).
  • Middle School: Support general education students in grades 6-8 (open to SLPs with their CF; not open to SLPAs or virtual).
  • Elementary B.R.I.D.G.E.S Program: Work with elementary students in a specialized program for intense/complex needs (SLP-CCC only; not open to SLPAs, CFs, or virtual).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active Delaware SLP license required.
  • For select roles, SLP-CCC status is mandatory (see position specifics above).
  • Previous school-based experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to adapt approach to meet varying student needs.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Must commit to onsite presencevirtual/remote work is not available.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within your assigned student population.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with local and state guidelines.

All positions are full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with a paid 30-minute lunch break. Early childhood hours are approximately 8:25am-3:55pm (some variability may occur).
