Job Description

A school-based Speech Language Pathologist is needed to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in Pre-K through 2nd grade with mild to moderate disabilities. This onsite role is based in New Britain, CT, within an elementary school setting, and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners during the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Current Connecticut SLP license
  • Connecticut Teachers Certification 061 required
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings preferred
  • Knowledge of mild to moderate disabilities and corresponding therapeutic approaches
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
