This contract opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise in speech and language therapy, collaborating with educators and families to help students reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CF) will be considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to connect and work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
- Deliver therapy services to students individually and in groups as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as required
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field
