This contract opportunity allows you to bring your clinical expertise and passion for helping children to a collaborative educational environment, guiding students toward greater communication skills and academic achievements.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license (or eligibility to obtain) for SLP in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions individually or in small groups
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with faculty, parents, and other specialists to provide comprehensive student support
- Stay current with best practices and professional development
