Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant school community near New Braunfels, TX. This engaging onsite position runs from August through June 2027, offering the chance to impact students speech, language, and communication growth throughout the academic year.
Candidates with a passion for pediatric care and a desire to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams will find this role fulfilling. You'll work a steady 37.5-hour week in school environments, providing high-quality speech and language services to children of varying abilities and backgrounds.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and active Texas license for SLP or SLPA (as appropriate to your discipline)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility strongly preferred for SLPs
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of K-12 speech-language disorders and interventions
- Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented with a flexible, solution-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy sessions to a diverse K-12 caseload
- Conduct assessments, create IEPs, and track student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and administrators for comprehensive care
- Provide education and guidance to families and school personnel on speech-language programs
- Participate in ongoing professional development and mentorship activities
