Make a difference as a contracted Speech Language Pathologist working onsite with a welcoming Pre-K and elementary school caseload near serene Nevada City, CA. This role involves supporting approximately 55 students, helping them build communication skills that will foster their academic and social development in a nurturing educational environment.
Leverage your pediatric experience to create engaging and effective therapy strategies for a diverse group of young learners. Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families, ensuring each childs unique speech and language needs are met with compassion and expertise.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CA Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior pediatric or school-based SLP experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs for Pre-K and elementary ages
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech and language therapy to Pre-K and elementary students
- Evaluate and assess speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop tailored treatment plans and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings
- Promote a positive, supportive learning atmosphere for students
