Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in Illinois
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds also considered
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Compassionate, flexible, and committed to student success

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language intervention
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy for a range of communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom setting
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and therapy sessions
  • Participate in team meetings, annual reviews, and staff training as needed
  • Provide support and education to families and colleagues about communication development and strategies
