Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active Louisiana SLP License
  • Louisiana Teaching Certificate required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Previous experience in a school setting highly desirable
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students according to IEP goals
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results to guide individualized plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
  • Maintain detailed records and document student progress in compliance with state and district requirements
  • Provide consultation and support for teachers, staff, and caregivers to maximize student success
  • Collaborate with other specialists and educational professionals to foster a positive learning environment
  • Communicate progress and strategies to parents and guardians
