Required Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in Illinois
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required for SLPs
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting is highly valued
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive environment for diverse learners
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to elementary students
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students educational goals
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings as needed, reporting on student progress and aligning goals
- Adapt therapy activities to meet the needs of each child, ensuring engagement and progress
