A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Park Ridge, IL, offering a contract-to-hire role focused on serving school-aged students within a district-wide caseload model. This position is ideal for licensed SLP professionals passionate about pediatric populations and education, including CFY candidates eager to grow in their careers.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with school-aged populations
- Ability to serve students across the district effectively
- Strong skills in assessment, therapy, and documentation
- Capability to work independently at a single school site
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License required
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Fingerprinting clearance prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy tailored to student needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and actively participate in related meetings
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and reports
- Provide compensatory services when applicable for full-time roles
- Collaborate with virtual supervision, especially for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
Job Details:
- Part-time position offering 1114 hours per week with availability for full-time hours by arrangement
- Non-itinerant assignment at a single school site
- Student age range: 522 years old
- Contract duration through May 29, 2026
- Flexible scheduling based on mutual agreement
- One opening available with a start date ASAP
- Interview process conducted via individual Zoom sessions
