Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Park Ridge, IL, offering a contract-to-hire role focused on serving school-aged students within a district-wide caseload model. Qualifications:

  • Experience working with school-aged populations

  • Strong skills in assessment, therapy, and documentation
  • Capability to work independently at a single school site
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License required
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Fingerprinting clearance prior to start

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy tailored to student needs
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and actively participate in related meetings
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and reports
  • Provide compensatory services when applicable for full-time roles
  • Collaborate with virtual supervision, especially for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates

Job Details:

  • Part-time position offering 1114 hours per week with availability for full-time hours by arrangement
  • Non-itinerant assignment at a single school site
  • Student age range: 522 years old
  • Contract duration through May 29, 2026
  • Flexible scheduling based on mutual agreement
  • One opening available with a start date ASAP
  • Interview process conducted via individual Zoom sessions
