Job Description
Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in a therapeutic day school setting focused on K-12 students with autism and life skills needs. This contract position, located in Naperville, IL, offers a clinical fellow opportunity with approximately 20 students on your caseload, working 30 hours per week during the current school year. The contract includes guaranteed Extended School Year (ESY) and commitment for the next school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to students with autism and life skills challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and support inclusive educational practices.
- Adapt therapeutic strategies to align with student needs and school curriculum.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but open to Clinical Fellows (CFY).
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably in school or healthcare environments.
