Desired Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Speech Language Pathologist license (no supervision provided; full licensure required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Recent experience working with pediatric populations, particularly within school-based settings
- Expertise supporting children with a range of behavioral and communicative disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, educators, and families
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and advocate for students individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and documentation
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to children with diverse behavioral needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure student success
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
- Provide guidance on adaptive communication strategies and resources
