Step into an engaging opportunity supporting K-8 students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school setting near Muskego, WI. This contract position runs from August through November, offering full-time, onsite hours for professionals passionate about making a difference in young learners communication abilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Wisconsin SLP license required
- ASHA CCC preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations, particularly within schools
- Proficiency in teletherapy a plus
- Background in healthcare SLP settings advantageous
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations and evidence-based therapy to K-8 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to student progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings as an essential member of the multidisciplinary team
- Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals, and administration
- Adapt service delivery, including potential for teletherapy sessions, to best meet student needs
- Engage in ongoing professional development and utilize available mentorship resources
