Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role making a meaningful difference in students lives as a Speech Language Pathologist. Based near Mount Morris, IL and assigned to a single school, you will support Jefferson Elementary students from February through the end of Mayan ideal opportunity for an SLP interested in school-based practice and making an immediate impact during a key part of the academic year.

In this position, youll primarily work with a caseload determined by school needs (including some support for an SLP returning later in the semester). Flex your skills collaborating directly with students across a range of ages, working in an environment that values your expertise and commitment to each students communication goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active SLP state license (Illinois)
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based speech language pathology
  • Willingness to collaborate closely with other SLPs and school staff
  • Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and support needs as the semester progresses
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organization, and passion for student growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to students, adjusting approaches as needed
  • Work collaboratively with a returning school SLP and other educational professionals
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Address a diverse range of student communication needs to promote academic success
  • Uphold all required school policies and documentation standards

This flexible contract role allows you to focus on the unique needs of one school community, with support and supervision provided by the district as needed. Interviews will be conducted remotely via a panel or individual format, and onboarding requirements, including fingerprint clearance, will be communicated upon an offer.
