Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students communication growth at a school district near Morristown, NJ. This vital role spans from August 31st to November 30th, covering a maternity leave with a full-time schedule of 3540 hours weekly. Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will help empower students while collaborating with a committed educational team.
Your Expertise and Background:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC required)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably school-aged children
- Familiarity with traditional SLP duties in school settings
- Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs
- Adept at collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, addressing a variety of communication needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and document findings
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input on communication goals
- Maintain required student records and progress documentation
- Possible travel between assignments if more than one school is assigned
