Job Description
An opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist is available for the upcoming school year at an elementary school in Morganton, NC. This contract role involves supporting approximately 35 students with speech and language needs, providing essential services to promote communication development and academic success. The position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in an educational setting
- Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each students communication needs
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress
- Maintaining detailed documentation and reports in compliance with local and state guidelines
- Providing teletherapy services as needed to support student access
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid North Carolina SLP license
- Experience working with pediatric populations, including school-aged children
- Familiarity with teletherapy and compliance protocols
- Strong communication and organizational skills
