Job Description

A Speech Language Pathologist position is available within a supportive school district near Mooresville, NC. This contract role involves working in school settings with an emphasis on pediatric speech therapy, including both PreK itinerant caseloads and elementary school services. The opportunity offers a consistent 40-hour workweek over 5 days, providing stability and a focused environment to serve young learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license required
  • Experience in schools is strongly preferred, with ASHA certification highly valued
  • Skills in teletherapy, healthcare-related speech therapy, and clinical fellowship year (CFY) are advantageous

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing speech and language therapy to students in PreK and elementary settings
  • Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
  • Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and assessments in compliance with school district standards

Location and Work Environment:

  • Based in Gastonia, NC area, with potential travel contracts available including untaxed stipends
  • School-based setting focused on pediatric populations
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
