A contract opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) supporting a school district in Mooresville, NC. This role provides therapy services across multiple elementary and middle school sites with a caseload model and offers paid administrative time. Assignments include extension classrooms and itinerant work with diverse student populations, including preschool and Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
- Ability to provide CFY-level services or supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Knowledge of school therapy environments and IEP processes
- Strong communication skills and flexibility for itinerant and paid travel assignments
Location:
Mooresville, North Carolina serving multiple elementary and middle schools within the district.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to assigned caseload across multiple schools
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP goals
- Maintain timely documentation using the districts IEP system with provided training
- Participate in paid team meetings and complete administrative tasks during designated indirect hours
- Potentially supervise SLPAs, ensuring quality of therapy services
- Adapt services to meet student needs across specialty classrooms including Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs
