Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a rewarding contract opportunity working onsite with K-12 students. You'll play an essential role in helping children develop vital communication skills, working collaboratively in a supportive school environment. Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the state of New York
- Previous experience in school settings, especially with K-12 age groups, is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, educators, and parents
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload with professionalism and adaptability
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practices and compliance standards in school-based speech therapy
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade according to their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to create strategies that foster each students academic and social success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed records as required by school and state guidelines
