Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Montgomery area. This onsite position is available for the upcoming academic year, providing the chance to make a meaningful difference in young learners communication and educational growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license issued by ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) in Alabama
- Eligible for, or hold, a professional educator license for Alabama
- Experience in school-based SLP settings is preferred
- Comfortable working with both elementary and middle school-aged children
- Willingness to supervise if holding CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs)
- Ability to manage a caseload of around 60 students
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication services primarily to elementary and middle school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and educational strategies
- Support students across typically one or, at times, two school sites
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Supervise Clinical Fellows as needed (if eligible)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student outcomes
