Role Overview: In this itinerant role, you will facilitate comprehensive assessments, conduct student evaluations, write and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), participate in meetings, and provide direct therapy services. Youll collaborate closely with school teams and families, ensuring consistent care and measurable progress for each student.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia
- Professional experience with pediatric populations, preferably within a school environment
- SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or strong clinical background in school-based services
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, writing IEPs, and documenting therapy progress
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, itinerant capacity
Core Responsibilities:
- Complete student assessments and evaluations in accordance with school policies and state regulations
- Write and maintain accurate, timely IEPs and progress reports
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute as a valued team member
- Deliver direct therapy and intervention services to students, adapting approaches as needed
- Engage with educators and families to coordinate care strategies
