Job Description

Provide speech-language pathology services in a K12 school setting within Mobile, AL, supporting two schools including an elementary campus and nearby private schools. This contract position requires a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) registered with the Alabama Board of Speech Examiners, providing direct therapy and consultation to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech and language intervention plans to address student communication needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support student progress and accommodations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student evaluations, goals, and progress reports according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in meetings, screenings, and IEP development to ensure compliance with educational standards.
  • Manage a caseload averaging 35 hours per week across two assigned school locations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license registered with the Alabama Board of Speech Examiners.
  • Experience working with diverse pediatric populations (K12) in school settings.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development and therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to meet credentialing requirements and provide documentation promptly.

  • Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week
