Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with students in grades 6-8 and 10-12 for the full 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position is based on-site in the Houston area and would allow you to provide direct support to either middle or high school students, depending on your preference. Your expertise will help shape students communication skills and academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold active Texas and Florida SLP licensure (please include an image of your license when applying)
- Experience with the school-aged population (grades 6-12 preferred)
- Ability to perform comprehensive SLP responsibilities: therapy, ARD participation, and testing; OR provide supervision only, if preferred
- Comfortable managing a caseload ranging from 50 to 60 students
- Previous experience in Texas schools is a plus
- Willingness to complete district fingerprinting (or possibly have existing prints on file)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload
- Conduct evaluations and participate in ARD meetings as needed
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state standards
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other special education staff to support each students IEP goals
- Engage in ongoing communication with the multidisciplinary team
- Offer supervision to SLPAs if providing only oversight services
