Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K8 students within a specialized educational program for the upcoming school year. This full-time position offers you the chance to utilize your expertise in speech-language pathology to make a meaningful difference for students as part of a setting 4 special education team. The caseload consists of children identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD), with no case management responsibilities requiredallowing you to focus on direct intervention and supporting student communication needs.

Youll work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to deliver tailored speech and language services for the duration of the assignment, running from early September through late October.

Desired background and qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota Department of Education SLP or SLPA license required
  • Experience working in school settings, especially with students with ASD, DCD, or EBD, is highly valued
  • Eligibility as CCC-SLP, CFY, or SLPA (schools)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate, creative, and flexible approach to supporting students speech and language development

What youll do:

  • Provide direct speech and language interventions for K8 students
  • Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families
  • Track student progress and complete necessary documentation
  • Contribute to team meetings and student support planning
  • Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs
