Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Long-Term Substitute Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time role offers the chance to provide essential school-based speech services to a dedicated student population over two critical assignment periods. Engage with a motivated team, working closely with approximately 25 students on a speech-only caseload, supporting their communication needs and fostering positive educational outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Speech Language Pathologist license required
- CCC-SLP preferred (district dependent)
- Previous experience with school-based or pediatric speech therapy is highly valued
- Skilled in navigating IEP processes, including documentation, compliance, and therapy scheduling
- Confident in delivering both direct services and thorough evaluations
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Background working with elementary and/or secondary school populations
- Familiarity with Minnesota school compliance standards and procedures
- Ability to quickly adapt to and manage established caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services according to student IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation, ensuring all compliance requirements are met
- Communication and collaboration with school staff and families to support student progress
- Provide seamless, reliable coverage during two assignment windows in late May to early June and again from September to early December
