Ideal Experience and Credentials:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Alabama (ASHA certified if applying as an SLP-CCC)
- Current Alabama professional educator license
- Comfortable supervising Clinical Fellows, if holding the CCC-SLP credential
- Previous experience in an elementary or middle school setting is beneficial, though motivated new graduates and Clinical Fellows are also encouraged to apply
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement targeted interventions
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Serve primarily at one school location, with the possibility of splitting time between two nearby schools as needed
- Collaborate regularly with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
- Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellows if eligible (CCC)
