Job Description

Ideal Experience and Credentials:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Alabama (ASHA certified if applying as an SLP-CCC)
  • Current Alabama professional educator license
  • Comfortable supervising Clinical Fellows, if holding the CCC-SLP credential
  • Previous experience in an elementary or middle school setting is beneficial, though motivated new graduates and Clinical Fellows are also encouraged to apply
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement targeted interventions
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Serve primarily at one school location, with the possibility of splitting time between two nearby schools as needed
  • Collaborate regularly with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
  • Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellows if eligible (CCC)
