Desired Qualifications:
- Active speech-language pathology license in the state of Michigan
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is preferred, but not required
- Comfortable working with students from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to adapt approaches for a range of ages, from elementary through high school
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized education plan (IEP) goals and document student progress
- Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Implement evidence-based interventions and adjust strategies to address student needs
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Offer guidance for classroom modifications and provide strategies to support inclusion
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and team collaborations where needed
