Job Description

Skilled Speech-Language Pathologists are needed for contract positions for the upcoming school year, beginning August 19, 2026, through June 15, 2027. Located near Middletown, DE, these full-time roles offer the opportunity to work on dynamic teams and serve a diverse student population across early childhood, elementary, and middle school levels.

Three onsite positions are open:

  • Itinerant Early Childhood SLP (requires ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, must be SLP-CCC)
  • Middle School SLP (open to SLP-CF; SLP-CCC preferred; not open to SLPA)
  • Elementary B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Program SLP (requires SLP-CCC; must have experience serving complex needs; not open to SLPA or CF)

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Delaware SLP license (attach to application)
  • SLP-CCC required for Early Childhood and B.R.I.D.G.E.S roles
  • Strong schools-based experience with relevant student populations
  • Clear understanding of IEP process, documentation, and collaboration with education teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be committed to onsite (not virtual) service delivery

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services appropriate to student caseload
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate records and data on student progress
  • Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams

Schedule and Hours:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • 37.5 hours/week with a paid 30-minute lunch
  • Early Childhood hours: 8:25am3:55pm (hours may vary slightly)
