This contract opportunity offers experience working with a diverse caseload across PreK-12 grades, focusing on mild to moderate needs. As an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist, youll play a vital role in supporting students communication and academic success across multiple school sites.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP Licensure (CCC required)
- Previous experience in school-based settings or working with PreK-12 populations preferred
- Strong ability to manage and prioritize a varied caseload
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and school site assignments
- Completion of Florida school district fingerprinting and eligibility for JLA badge (process assistance provided)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and evaluation services to students with speech and language needs
- Coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement IEP goals
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in meetings as required
- Travel between multiple school sites within the district to serve assigned caseload
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and support inclusion efforts
This assignment runs from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, for 35 hours per week (7 hours per day), aligning with the traditional school calendar. Expect a manageable caseload, with each assignment tailored to age group and needs per site. Candidates will receive comprehensive onboarding and credentialing support throughout the hiring process.
