Job Description

Step into a dynamic role focused on supporting early childhood development by providing expert speech and language services in an educational setting. You'll have the chance to work with PreK students while also utilizing your leadership abilities by overseeing a dedicated SLPA. This contract opportunity is located near Michigan City, IN, and is structured for the upcoming school year with a consistent 35-hour work week.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Indiana SLP license
  • Current DOE Certification
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Ability to supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or early childhood setting is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to early childhood/PreK students in accordance with their IEPs
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans addressing a range of speech and language needs
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to an SLPA, ensuring quality standards and compliance
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to promote student success
  • Keep accurate and timely records of evaluations, progress notes, and communications
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-related activities as required
