A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting located in Mesquite, TX. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language support to students, fostering their communication skills to enhance academic success and social interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with students' needs and educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or modifications when necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of IDEA and other relevant federal and state education regulations.
