This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional who holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) and is experienced in working with pediatric populations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP-CCC credential
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric therapy settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with students, educators, and families
- Ability to develop and implement targeted treatment plans for a diverse range of speech and language needs
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing each students communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Develop and maintain progress reports, therapy logs, and required compliance documentation
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, and families to support students academic and social success
- Educate school personnel about best practices and techniques for fostering effective communication in the classroom
