Qualifications & Certification Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active SLP license in Virginia (or ability to obtain)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
  • Experience with pediatric and school-based populations highly valued
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Bilingual abilities a plus

Job Details:

  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • End date: End of the current school year
  • Contract position
  • Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Student age group: Primarily elementary through middle school
  • Manage a manageable caseload with approximately 40-50 students
  • Supportive multidisciplinary team; great resources for new grads and seasoned professionals alike

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students in one or more school settings
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers
  • Participate in meetings and professional development
