Overview of Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure as required for school-based practice
  • Prior experience providing therapy for pediatric and school-age populations
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and report writing for education plans
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, including collaborating with teachers, families, and other providers
  • Ability to adjust therapy strategies to meet a diverse range of speech, language, and communication needs

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments, screenings, and evaluations of students with speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide ongoing direct and consultative therapy services to students, as well as support for teachers and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and IEP team planning sessions
  • Offer expert guidance on communication supports and strategies within the school environment
